Evertt and Dorothy Roettger

DAD, YOU ARE MISSED SO MUCH, MORE THAN YOU COULD EVER HAVE
IMAGINED. NOT A SINGLE DAY GOES BY THAT DOESN'T INCLUDE A MEMORY OR THOUGHT OF
YOU. we read this at Dad's funeral. GOD'S GARDEN God looked around his garden
and found an empty place, He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tiring
face. He put his arms around you, and lifted you to rest, God's garden must be
beautiful, for he only takes the best. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you
didn't go alone For a part of us went with you, the day God called you home. If
we could have a wish today, it would not be for silver or gold, But just to have
you back with us, to have again and hold. As we look upon your pictures, sweet
memories we recall, A face so full of sunshine, and a smile for one and all. A
million times we needed you, a million times we have cried. If love could have
saved you, you never would have died. Day's have passed now as we have watched
in sorrow, Knowing that with you, there will no tomorrow. With your smiling
heart and your handsome face, We will never, ever forget your warm embrace.
My father passed away from cancer. He was a very strong man, my mother was in
the hospital herself the week before dad died. He was totally fine the whole
week, the day my Mother walked in the door from the hospital, Dad said we are
all home now, where we belong.....the next day, he started to go downhill, he
died 5 days later...at home with his entire family at his side, at home....where
WE all BELONGED.
MOM, YOU ARE MISSED MORE THAN YOU COULD EVER HAVE IMAGINED.
NOT ONE SINGLE DAY GOES BY THAT DOESN'T CONTAIN MEMORIES OF YOU. i found this
poem on the internet, thanks to Scarlet238, who wrote it. For those of us that
are here in tears, It seems like like days since she left us here. But it's been
a year since that awful day. When the angels took my Mom away. I miss her on
those endless nights When Mom is needed to make everything all right I miss her
smile, her laugh, her charm,I miss being held in Mom's arms. I remember her
stories, her smell, her touch......I still miss her so very much. But when my
last breath, I finally draw, And walk through deaths open door, She'll be there,
standing, at Heaven's Gates I know, that's where my Mom waits.
We lost my dad, EVERTT ROETTGER, just 2 months before we lost Mom. They had just
celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage. Mom had been sick for several years,
all she wanted was to live until they completed 50! MOM GOT HER WISH.
They that love beyond the world cannot be separated by it... Death cannot kill that which never dies. ~ William Penn
