Stanley Kania
May 20th, 1919 - July 6th, 2001
Those of who knew my grandfather, Stanley, would surely agree that he was a truly exceptional person. He was one of the few people I have ever known that would continuously give of himself and never expect or desire anything in return. He always put his loved ones wants and needs before his own. He loved his family, not only with his heart, but his entire being. My Grandfather, was also one of the most pleasant people you could ever hope to meet. With his gift of gab and cheerful demeanor, he would easily talk up a storm with just about anyone, and made innumerable acquaintances and friends, wherever he went. He befriended many animals as well, as he would save every scrap of food he could to feed any hungry stray that wandered onto his doorstep. Some people have a heart of gold, and I am proud to say, that my grandfather was one of them. Words simply aren’t adequate enough to describe just how much he was loved and how intensely he will be missed by all of us. All I can say, is that I am very grateful to god, that I was given the privilege to have such a wonderful human being in my life and that while he may not be with us physically, he is still with us in spirit, embedded forever, within our hearts.
