Forever Fifteen
You came to us a little thing
just seven pounds or so,
But in a flash before our eyes
you began to grow.
Your birthdays came & went
they seemed to go so fast,
What was your future at the time
has now become your past.
We love you, Liz, with all our hearts,
we think you are the best
But all the dreams and plans we had
have now been put to rest.
February 4th's the day I gave you life
our hearts are broken in two
There's nothing we would rather do
than spend that day with you.
But you will spend each birthday-
and all the ones to come
In Heaven with Our Father
for He has called you home.
And though We miss you terribly-
there's nothing we can do,
We have to stay and live this life
until He calls us, too.
