Ronnie Lynn Thompson

01/13/1982 - 08/22/1998

Ronnie was the only son. Ronnie was born in Price, Utah. He was a J.R.O.T.C. Army Cadet for his high school. He also was a Navy Sea Cadet, and he trained with the Marines every other weekend. He was on the marksmanship team and was on his was to a Army base to practice when the driver of the car he was in fell asleep. Ronnie was a member of the National Jr. Honor Society. He was given a full military funeral, along with "Taps" a "21" gun salute. The Cadets were his pall bearers, and he had a flag on his casket. His cadet friends all were in full dress uniform as were the Marines who attended. I was sent a letter from the president and a senator. Ronnie wanted to be a arospace engeneer. He is survived by his Mother and his Sister Candace and his other family members.

Request:

Ronnie loved the military and Star Wars.
I did have a beautiful web site but a mean person removed it and I have been unable to make another. August 22, 2002 was the last time that a full color guard and "Taps" was done at his graveside. His sister Candace was the color guard commander for the year 2002 and arranged everything for her brother.
The school would allow us to take the flags, and the sabers or rifles. Col. Horton and 1st Sgt Hinkel were his teachers.  Ronnies song is In The Arms of the Angels, and he really is. I would also like to thank the person who paid for the quilt I had made in Ronnie's memory, it is made out of his favorite shirts, and stitched together in camo. material, with a poem on the back. This person never disclosed their name, but I am forever grateful for the gift I can wrap up in like a hug from my Son
