A year has gone by but it doesn't seem that long,
I remember you in my heart, thoughts, prayers and songs,
To you I pray every night and hope you hear.
I know you guide me through life so not one thing do I fear.

It's been hard but I know I have to stay strong,
and I know one day all of us will have to move on,
but until then no memories will be erased,
cause I sit here everyday and wish I could see just one more time a smile upon your face.

So many jokes, laughs and tears we have shared,
and even though sometimes we were rude, you knew we cared,
your voice, sense of humor and smile we will never forget,
and you being my daddy is one thing I will never regret.
Whatever I do in life I know you'll be with me,
I just wish this isn't how life was meant to be,
I know I can't change it, there's nothing I can do,
but I know I'll always be daddy's little girl and I know I'll forever love and miss you.
